June 2015's best free streaming YouTube movies includes The Wind Rises

The Wind Rises – Best Free Streaming YouTube Movies (June 2015)

In the past, FlashRouters has highlighted some of the best free movies streaming on YouTube, but the list grew outdated pretty fast. Film companies and their lawyers are notorious for acting with lightning quickness when one of their films is being streamed for free without their permission.

In that spirit, here is a new list – one which will be updated regularly – to keep our readers aware of the great full, free movies streaming on YouTube. If by the time you read the post the link for the movie is rendered invalid, we apologize, but as we said, these things pop up and disappear with stunning speed.

Anyway, we hope you get some enjoyment out of our favorite free movies streaming on YouTube. This is a varied list, from classic westerns to anime to documentaries and beyond. But first…

Enjoy the Best Free Movies Streaming on YouTube with a FlashRouter

Before we dig into the list of the best full free movies streaming on YouTube, we want to let you know that you can vastly improve your YouTube streaming experience by purchasing a FlashRouter.

What’s a FlashRouter, you ask? Watch the video below and learn:

Basically, in case you chose not to watch the video, FlashRouters takes already powerful routers and makes them stronger, faster, and more versatile by flashing them DD-WRT and Tomato firmware. These enhancement router firmwares boost routers’ functionality, allowing users to access advanced security options, increase their wireless range, and manage their networks with incredible ease.

With a FlashRouter, you’ll be streaming your favorite free movies streaming on YouTube without annoying freezes or stalls. Here’s a list of some current favorites, covering all kinds of price ranges:

  1. Netgear R7000 AC1900 Nighthawk DD-WRT Router – Our highest powered Netgear router, and preferred as the top router for gaming.
  2. Asus RT-N66U N900 Dark Knight Tomato WiFi Router – Our most popular Tomato & Wireless-N VPN Router.

  3. Cisco Linksys E1200 V2 DD-WRT FlashRouter  An always popular affordable favorite makes its return to the best-sellers list.

  4. Asus RT-87U DD-WRT AC2400 – The ultimate Asus networking centerpiece with power and style for future-proofing your WiFi network to next-gen Wireless-AC standards.

Best Full Free Movies Streaming on YouTube in 2015

Full Movies on YouTube - Django Unchained

Django Unchained – Free Full Movies on YouTube

The Wind Rises – Hayao Miyazaki, the man behind such animated wonders as Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke, has sadly stated that The Wind Rises will be his last feature length film. So take advantage of the opportunity to stream this lovely movie, about the life of Jiro Horikoshi who designed fighter planes for WWII, for free and while you can.

Wendy and Lucy – A heartbreaking story of a young woman (Michelle Williams, in a wonderfully melancholy performance) of limited means who loses her dog en route to a potentially lucrative job. If it sounds like a bummer, that’s cause it is, but writer/director Kelly Reichardt’s visual and narrative storytelling style is as poetic as ever in Wendy and Lucy (also, hopefully Spanish subtitles don’t bother you).

Old Joy – Keep the Kelly Reichardt marathon rolling with Old Joy, her breakthrough movie. Like Wendy and Lucy, the action is kept to a deliberate and relaxed minimum, as two old friends (Daniel London, Will Oldham) reunite to go camping in Oregon’s Cascade Mountains. Even though not much happens, there’s a wealth of meaning behind what few words there are, as well as the silences.

Django Unchained – In stark contrast to Old Joy, we have Django Unchained, Quentin Tarantino’s latest campaign in his cinematic war on history’s great evils. Having successfully killed Hitler in Inglorious Basterds, Tarantino turns his on sights American slavery, telling the tale of an enslaved man named Django (Jamie Foxx) and his quest to rescue his wife (Kerry Washington) from a brutal slaveowner (Leonardo Dicaprio). As ever, Tarantino’s over-charged moviemaking mojo makes even the most harrowing topics exciting to watch.

Grave of the Fireflies – Thought Wendy and Lucy was depressing? Well, you don’t know from depressing until you’ve seen Grave of the Fireflies, an absolutely devastating and beautiful animated movie about a young boy and his little sister’s attempts to survive without their parents in Japan as WWII comes to an end. The movie’s only an hour and a half but allot yourself some recovery/crying time.

Let the Fire Burn – After you’ve finished crying over Grave of the Fireflies, maybe turn your emotional dial towards righteous anger; we guarantee you’ll be feeling a lot of it after Let the Fire Burn. A formatively adventurous documentary (built entirely out of footage, with no talking heads), Let the Fire Burn documents a 1985 stand-off between the Philadelphia police and MOVE – a radical black liberation group – that resulted in the death of 11 MOVE members, including 5 children.

Stream Big Trouble in Little China for free on YouTube (Junes 2015)

Big Trouble in Little China – Free Streaming YouTube Movies (June 2015)

Big Trouble in Little China – Yes, we wrote about this one recently since it just emerged on Amazon Prime Instant last month, but what can we say? We love Big Trouble in Little China. It’s got Kurt Russell doing an on-again-off-again John Wayne impression as wisecracking truck driver John Burton, who agrees to help his friend rescue his fiancee from a mystical gang in Chinatown, despite not being particularly up to the task. It’s all very silly and a whole lot of fun.

No Country for Old Men – The Coen Brothers are not exactly known for looseness or excess in their movies, but even by their standards, No Country for Old Men is a remarkably taut movie. Based on Cormac McCarthy’s novel of the same name, No Country for Old Men is a tense, often shocking thriller, featuring three pitch-perfect lead performances (Tommy Lee Jones, Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem), that gets up a good philosophical head of steam about the nature of violence which will stay with you for years.

The Abominable Dr. Phibes – If you were told about a movie from 1971 about a man, left maimed and widowed by a horrific car crash, who exacts Old-Testament-based revenge on the doctors he blames for his wife’s death, who would you want playing that role? That’s right: you’d want Vincent Price, and that’s exactly what you get in the fabulously entertaining camp classic The Abominable Dr. Phibes.

Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! – And we close out this month’s free streaming YouTube movies with one of Russ Meyer’s classic exploitation films. Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! follows three go-go dancers as they wreak havoc all over a California desert, kidnapping and murdering their way into trash cinema history. As ever in a Meyer production, the violence is consistent, the female bodily proportions are outlandish and unrealistic, and the commitment to provocation is something to behold.

New Netflix Streaming Movies and Television Shows of 2015

Ever since Netflix stopped letting people know what’s been subtracted from their Instant streaming lineup, it’s been a little difficult to keep track of what’s coming and going in their library.

So the purpose of this post – which will be continually updated on this site as new movies and television shows are added to the Netflix Instant streaming lineup – is to keep you, the dedicated Netflix Instant streamer, apprised of what new additions should be watched immediately, or should go on your queue but not be considered a top viewing priority.

Improve Netflix Streaming Experience With Powerful Router

Streaming HD video is a bandwidth intensive activity that puts major stress on a wireless home network. Our wireless routers are popular with heavy Netflix streaming users because they are designed to handle high-volume jobs with ease. With a FlashRouter, you can extend your wireless range, tweak wireless sensitivity, control your bandwidth allocation, and add layers of advanced security. How do we achieve all this? By flashing our routers with DD-WRT & Tomato firmware, open-source replacement firmwares that boost a router’s functionality and feature-set.

Check out our recent best-sellers of February 2015 list to find some of our most popular devices. Routers from all price ranges, all ready to revolutionize your network, such as the sleek and thoroughly affordable Linksys E1200 DD-WRT FlashRouter or the Linksys E2500 Tomato FlashRouter. Or if you’re looking to spend a little extra to get the best router money can buy, check out the Netgear R7000 DD-WRT FlashRouter, or the Netgear R8000 Wireless-AC3200 DD-WRT FlashRouter with it’s triband (!) wireless speeds.

It’s also worth mentioning that we’re affiliated with a number of VPN service providers who can not only make your online experience safer, but can also keep you in touch with your Netflix streaming account even when you’re in countries where Netflix isn’t available.

By tunneling your online information through secure servers all over the world, VPNs also allow you to trick your computer into thinking it’s wherever you want it to be, allowing you access to geographically restricted material. For more information, check out one of our many articles about accessing Netflix from places like Korea or Dubai or South Africa.

If you’d like some help choosing the VPN that best suits you, we recommend checking our Supported Provider List. We can customize our routers for any of the VPNs on that list, which saves you a lot of the time and trouble that comes with installing the VPN software on your own. Don’t end up with a bricked router when we can handle all of the tough stuff for you.

Best New Netflix Instant Streaming Videos (June 2015 Update)

Best New Netflix Instant Movies (June 2015) - Nightcrawler

Nightcrawler – New on Netflix Instant (June 2015)

New to Netflix (June 2015)

Plenty of good stuff to get excited about this month, including a favorite Netflix original’s return.

Rosewater (June 10) – Even Jon Stewart’s biggest fans were likely skeptical about his ability to bring the story of Maziar Bahari, a journalist unjustly jailed by Iranian militants, to the screen as a first time writer/director. While Rosewater is no masterpiece, Stewart shows himself to be a sensitive, and even artful, storyteller, telling Bahari’s harrowing tale with tasteful amounts of humor and visual flair.

Nightcrawler (June 10) – Those of us betting that Jake Gyllenhaal’s skills as an actor would never rise above serviceable got our mouths roundly shut by Nightcrawler. His scarily committed turn as Leo Bloom, a sociopathically motivated, budding crime journalist is the stuff of nightmares. Oh, and first-time director Dan Gilroy’s parable about the unique shape and side effects of capital-A American ambition is pretty terrifying in its own right.

Orange Is the New Black: Season 3 (June 12) – Get ready to reacquaint yourselves with the woman of Litchfield Prison; Orange Is the New Black is coming back for another season of memorable characters, dark humor, and morally dubious behavior. For the sake of those not yet caught up, we won’t reveal where we were left off at the end of season 2, but we’re as eager as everyone else to catch up with Red, Taystee, and Poussey as the rest of you.

Two Days, One Night (June 16) – The Dardenne Brothers continue their ridiculous hot streak as crafters of wrenching cinema with Two Days, One Night. Marion Cotillard (typically excellent and Oscar-nominated for the movie) stars as Sandra, a woman who will lose her job if she can’t convince her co-workers to take a pay cut by the end of the weekend.

Beyond the Lights (June 24) – Writer/Director Gina Prince-Bythewood brings her formidable talent to bear on Beyond the Lights, the story of a world-famous singer who is starting to crack under the pressure. That all changes when she meets a cop who helps her learn how to express her truer self in her art. Sure, that sounds a little hokey, but Prince-Bythewood’s deft hand keeps the film from descending into sticky sentiment.

What Happened, Miss Simone? (June 26) – Fans of the incomparable “High Priestess of Soul” Nina Simone have reason to get excited for the end of June. What Happened, Miss Simone? is a Netflix original documentary to chronicle the life of the groundbreaking singer, pianist, and civil rights activist that promises a wealth of rare live footage as well as previously-unheard recordings. In short, a treasure trove for Simone fans.

Other Great Streaming Movies & TV Shows

Since other streaming sites are stepping up their games to compete with Netflix Instant, we thought we’d highlight some of their best options. Everything you’ll see in this section is available from Amazon Prime Instant.

The Shining – The movie that taught us all about how integral sound, or the lack of it, is to effective horror films. You know all the iconic moments – the twins in the hallway, Jack Nicholson’s face through the bathroom door – but The Shining plays against those loud, visceral moments with long stretches of stillness and silence, building and building the tension to an unbearable boil. That is at the heart of The Shining‘s legacy as a masterpiece.

Watch The Shining on Amazon Prime Instant (June 2015)

The Shining – New on Amazon Prime Instant (June 2015)

Apocalypse Now (Redux) – Of the many great Vietnam movies, none capture the hallucinatory confusion and the nihilistic violence of the era better than Apocalypse Now. Based on Joseph Conrad’s Heart of DarknessApocalypse Now stars Martin Sheen as Captain Willard, who must travel into the heart of the jungle to assassinate the highly decorated and AWOL Colonel Kurtz (Marlon Brando). Along the way, he encounters horrors the likes of which are rarely captured on film.

Seven Psychopaths – The great profane poet of cinema, Martin McDonagh, follows up the peerless In Bruges with this kaleidoscopic tale of bad men and the screenwriters who live off their tales. The narrative is a little too twisty to get into here, but as is the case with In Bruges, McDonagh balances equal parts violence, heart, and humor to create a uniquely potent blend that is all his own.

Troll 2 – Maybe you’re sick of hearing about movies so bad that they’re good. Well, what about movies so bad that they’re good enough to warrant a whole other movie about how bad they are? Such is the case with Troll 2 and the documentary about it, Best Worst Movie. YouTube choice scenes if you just want the highlights, but Troll 2 is loaded up, moment to moment, with laughably inept scenes, so we recommend watching the whole thing.
