postheadericon [UPDATED] Angry Ex-Employee Kills 5 At Orlando Business Before Killing Himself

UPDATE @ 3:00pm EST

The identities of four victims have been released by police. The victims are Robert Snyder, 69; Brenda Montanez-Crespo, 44; Kevin Clark, 53; and Jeffrey Roberts, 57. The ID of one victim has not been released.

The gunman, who has been identified as John Robert Neumann Jr., was said to have specifically targeted people during the shooting. One of the witnesses told police that Neumann pointed his gun at her and told her to leave.

The shooting took place in multiple locations inside the business.

Original article:

ORLANDO, FLORIDA — A man, who police say was fired from his job in April, went back to his old employer Monday morning and began shooting. The victims included his old boss, as well as 4 others who have not been identified.

From CNN:

Police have not named the dead gunman, 45, but say he has no ties to terror or subversive groups.

Police responded to the call about 8 a.m. at Fiamma Inc., which makes accessories for recreational vehicles, Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings said. The business is located in an industrial area northeast of downtown.

Three men and a woman were found dead at the scene, Demings said. Another man died at Orlando Regional Medical Center.

Seven others were inside the business when the shootings took place.

The man responsible has not been identified, but was said to be 45 years old.

Around 8am, police went to the business after receiving a call of shots fired. By the time police arrived, the gunman had taken his own life. He was said to be armed with a knife and handgun.

In 2014, police were called to the same business for a ‘workplace violence’ incident involving the same man responsible for the killings, although no charges were filed.

postheadericon Microsoft empowers developers with new and updated tools spanning Android, Azure, iOS, Linux, Office and Windows

NEW YORK — Nov. 18, 2015 — On Wednesday, during its annual Connect(); developer event, Microsoft Corp. reinforced its commitment to providing the best experience for any developer, on any device or platform, with several new and updated developer tools and programs from Visual Studio, Azure, Office and Windows, including many new free offers.

“As a developer company we want to empower developers with open and flexible technologies that enable innovation on their terms,” said Scott Guthrie, executive vice president, Cloud and Enterprise Group, Microsoft. “The additions of Visual Studio Code beta, the free Visual Studio Dev Essentials program, and .NET Core RC for Linux, OS X and Windows show that Microsoft is now the company working hardest for all developers.”

Making powerful tools available to any developer

Microsoft is working to help all developers be successful with powerful tools that enable innovative scenarios. Building on its proven history of innovation with the .NET Framework and Visual Studio, Microsoft is empowering more developers through the introduction of several free new tools and services.

Microsoft on Wednesday announced the immediate availability of Visual Studio Dev Essentials, a new free program designed to provide any developer with everything needed to create applications on any device or operating system, using their technology of choice. The program provides easy access to popular Microsoft developer services, tools and resources as well as several new benefits to help developers get started building apps. Visual Studio Dev Essentials benefits will include access to Visual Studio Community, Visual Studio Code and new Visual Studio Team Services; priority forums support; Parallels Desktop for Mac; training from Pluralsight, Wintellect and Xamarin; a $ 25 monthly Azure credit coming early next calendar year; and more. Details are available at http://www.visualstudio.com.

Making it even easier to access Microsoft’s developer tools, the company on Wednesday also introduced Visual Studio cloud subscriptions, which offer Visual Studio Professional and Visual Studio Enterprise on a monthly or annual basis through a new Visual Studio Marketplace. The new marketplace provides a central location for developers to find and install components that extend the Microsoft development platform.

Microsoft showed that it continues to bring innovation to Visual Studio developers with a first look at the next version of Visual Studio.

The company also announced the general availability of the Microsoft Graph, offering developers a consistent way to access data, intelligence and APIs within the Microsoft cloud and with a single authorization token. With the Microsoft Graph, developers can tap into the collective power of the Microsoft cloud to create smart, people-centric applications that help companies and end users achieve more with contextual insights. Any developer capable of making an HTTP request can call the API from any platform. The Microsoft Graph is hosted at http://graph.microsoft.com.

Also now available is Azure Service Fabric in public preview, making it easy for developers to build and operate microservice-based applications at scale that fully integrate with Microsoft Azure and Visual Studio. The preview includes support for .NET development on Windows Server, with Linux support expected in 2016.

Providing a developer platform that is open by design

Microsoft’s developer platform is open by design, allowing developers to target any device and platform, including iOS, Android, Linux and Windows. The company on Wednesday released new versions of popular tools that further enable developers to quickly create innovative apps and services.

Microsoft released Visual Studio Code beta as an open source project, available on GitHub. Visual Studio Code is an advanced code editor and part of the Visual Studio family that runs on Linux, OS X and Windows, and has been already downloaded more than 1 million times in preview. The new beta version includes a new extension model with a gallery of extensions for additional features, themes and language support. Developers can learn more at http://www.visualstudio.com.

The company also delivered release candidates (RC) of .NET Core 5 and ASP.NET 5 for Linux, Windows and OS X. With this implementation of the .NET Core for any operating system, developers can start using it in production environments.

Comprehensive tools for team development

Microsoft has been a pioneer in empowering enterprise development teams with tools for agile and DevOps practices including Team Foundation Server and Visual Studio Online. The company today introduced Visual Studio Team Services, an enhanced and rebranded version of the Visual Studio Online service with 3.6 million existing registered users. Microsoft demonstrated the extensible architecture of Visual Studio Team Services by showing a broad catalog of partner extensions available in the new Visual Studio Marketplace, as well as Microsoft’s own extensions.

Microsoft also extended its DevOps solutions into more mobile development scenarios for Windows, Android and iOS. This includes the ability to host cloud builds for mobile applications with cross-platform build capabilities for iOS (in partnership with MacinCloud) and Android. The addition of HockeyApp to the Microsoft DevOps solution will now enable mobile apps beta testing, user feedback and crash analytics in the DevOps cycle.

The Wind Rises – Best Free Streaming YouTube Movies (June 2015)

In the past, FlashRouters has highlighted some of the best free movies streaming on YouTube, but the list grew outdated pretty fast. Film companies and their lawyers are notorious for acting with lightning quickness when one of their films is being streamed for free without their permission.

Best Full Free Movies Streaming on YouTube in 2015

Full Movies on YouTube - Django Unchained

Django Unchained – Free Full Movies on YouTube

The Wind Rises – Hayao Miyazaki, the man behind such animated wonders as Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke, has sadly stated that The Wind Rises will be his last feature length film. So take advantage of the opportunity to stream this lovely movie, about the life of Jiro Horikoshi who designed fighter planes for WWII, for free and while you can.

Wendy and Lucy – A heartbreaking story of a young woman (Michelle Williams, in a wonderfully melancholy performance) of limited means who loses her dog en route to a potentially lucrative job. If it sounds like a bummer, that’s cause it is, but writer/director Kelly Reichardt’s visual and narrative storytelling style is as poetic as ever in Wendy and Lucy (also, hopefully Spanish subtitles don’t bother you).

Old Joy – Keep the Kelly Reichardt marathon rolling with Old Joy, her breakthrough movie. Like Wendy and Lucy, the action is kept to a deliberate and relaxed minimum, as two old friends (Daniel London, Will Oldham) reunite to go camping in Oregon’s Cascade Mountains. Even though not much happens, there’s a wealth of meaning behind what few words there are, as well as the silences.

Django Unchained – In stark contrast to Old Joy, we have Django Unchained, Quentin Tarantino’s latest campaign in his cinematic war on history’s great evils. Having successfully killed Hitler in Inglorious Basterds, Tarantino turns his on sights American slavery, telling the tale of an enslaved man named Django (Jamie Foxx) and his quest to rescue his wife (Kerry Washington) from a brutal slaveowner (Leonardo Dicaprio). As ever, Tarantino’s over-charged moviemaking mojo makes even the most harrowing topics exciting to watch.

Grave of the Fireflies – Thought Wendy and Lucy was depressing? Well, you don’t know from depressing until you’ve seen Grave of the Fireflies, an absolutely devastating and beautiful animated movie about a young boy and his little sister’s attempts to survive without their parents in Japan as WWII comes to an end. The movie’s only an hour and a half but allot yourself some recovery/crying time.

Let the Fire Burn – After you’ve finished crying over Grave of the Fireflies, maybe turn your emotional dial towards righteous anger; we guarantee you’ll be feeling a lot of it after Let the Fire Burn. A formatively adventurous documentary (built entirely out of footage, with no talking heads), Let the Fire Burn documents a 1985 stand-off between the Philadelphia police and MOVE – a radical black liberation group – that resulted in the death of 11 MOVE members, including 5 children.

Stream Big Trouble in Little China for free on YouTube (Junes 2015)

Big Trouble in Little China – Free Streaming YouTube Movies (June 2015)

Big Trouble in Little China – Yes, we wrote about this one recently since it just emerged on Amazon Prime Instant last month, but what can we say? We love Big Trouble in Little China. It’s got Kurt Russell doing an on-again-off-again John Wayne impression as wisecracking truck driver John Burton, who agrees to help his friend rescue his fiancee from a mystical gang in Chinatown, despite not being particularly up to the task. It’s all very silly and a whole lot of fun.

No Country for Old Men – The Coen Brothers are not exactly known for looseness or excess in their movies, but even by their standards, No Country for Old Men is a remarkably taut movie. Based on Cormac McCarthy’s novel of the same name, No Country for Old Men is a tense, often shocking thriller, featuring three pitch-perfect lead performances (Tommy Lee Jones, Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem), that gets up a good philosophical head of steam about the nature of violence which will stay with you for years.

The Abominable Dr. Phibes – If you were told about a movie from 1971 about a man, left maimed and widowed by a horrific car crash, who exacts Old-Testament-based revenge on the doctors he blames for his wife’s death, who would you want playing that role? That’s right: you’d want Vincent Price, and that’s exactly what you get in the fabulously entertaining camp classic The Abominable Dr. Phibes.

Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! – And we close out this month’s free streaming YouTube movies with one of Russ Meyer’s classic exploitation films. Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! follows three go-go dancers as they wreak havoc all over a California desert, kidnapping and murdering their way into trash cinema history. As ever in a Meyer production, the violence is consistent, the female bodily proportions are outlandish and unrealistic, and the commitment to provocation is something to behold.
